The GLBT Listserv - a great way to communicate!
In addition to our weekly email about upcoming events, Foundry GLBT hosts a discussion list for our gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community and allies. Individuals on the list are free to write to let others know about a variety of topics. Personal news of interest to the group, news about upcoming events, announcements about job changes or help finding a job, etc., are all great possibilities. Also, this is a good place to ask questions about Foundry or to ask for prayer about a concern. Do not list announcements from every edition of a newsletter that you get, or whole contents of other newsletters. However, you can let others know about newsletters that might interest them so that they can sign up for themselves.
Something to remember is that internet communications are sensitive because casual humor can be mistaken for biting sarcasm. Make it a point to be clear about communications, and keep things on a positive note.
To sign up for the list, simply enter your email address below and click the "Join" button. You will be guided through a short sign-up procedure. No approval is needed for your subscription...it will be automatically accepted.
To send messages to the list, simply send them to FoundryGLBT@topica.com from the email address that you used to sign up. To prevent spam, only subscribers can send email to the list, and topica uses the sender's email address to verify this.
Responses to messages will go to the whole group, and each message you receive from the list will have a message telling you how to unsubscribe.
